Malawian TED Fellow, Soyapi Mumba, and his team at Baobab Health overcame challenges of slow and expensive internet connectivity in Malawi to develop a groundbreaking software system for managing electronic health records in understaffed hospitals, particularly for HIV treatment.

With the impending connection of the Malawi Research and Education Network (MAREN) to the UbuntuNet network, Mumba anticipates enhanced internet connectivity, providing not only support for their medical tech innovations but also technical assistance for further advancements in healthcare solutions.
